How to play Paired Swords
Paired swords reward players who already understand when to stop attacking. Their natural combo length is long enough to overextend, which is exactly how skilled enemies recover and punish. Use them when you have already won the style matchup and only need to convert advantage into damage.
Several dual-blade styles emphasize barrage openings. Those openings are ideal after a successful Counterspark or after a firearm stun, not as the first thing you do into a full-Ki enemy. Think of the dual blades as the finisher weapon that sits behind a safer primary.
Because dual blades share some style lineages with katana and sabre, bond characters who teach multi-weapon arts accelerate your whole toolkit. Track which bonds unlock paired-sword styles early so your second weapon slot is never an empty habit.
Paired swords shine after you already won the style matchup. Use them to deny Ki recovery on staggered targets rather than as your first tool against full-Ki elites.
